Meet our invited speaker Filip Topić, PhD! Filip Topić completed his Bachelor’s degree in Organic, Inorganic, and Structural Chemistry in 2011 at the Chemistry Department of PMF in Zagreb. During his studies, he specialized in crystal engineering and small-molecule crystallography and conducted several science workshops for various age groups, from preschool to primary and secondary school. He pursued his PhD at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland, where he focused on small-molecule and supramolecular crystallography, earning his Doctorate in Organic Chemistry in late 2015. In 2017, as a recipient of the Canadian Banting Fellowship, he went on a postdoctoral fellowship at McGill University in Canada. After returning to Finland, he joined IQM Quantum Computers in 2022, where he is responsible for process safety, chemical handling, and the maintenance of laboratory instruments.
